Job Summary
Collaborate with a design team on public works and land development projects, including airports, bridges, and water systems. Use design software to render study results and communicate plans for infrastructure improvements. Draft reports and present technical concepts to diverse audiences. Estimate materials, equipment, and labor to determine probable construction costs. Perform other related duties as assigned. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, FE exam pass, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Based in Fort Smith, AR, the position offers mentorship from Professional Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- 0 - 2 years of experience in Public Works projects
- Passed the FE exam or able to pass within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools
- Knowledge of the materials, methods, and equipment involved in the construction or repair of civil engineering related improvements
- Able to balance multiple and frequently conflicting objectives and make good decisions
- Technical experience in computer-assisted design (CAD), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design, modeling, data recording, and analyzation related software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and accurate
- Background in Public Works
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
