Job Summary
Conduct drawing production and prepare commercial building projects using Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and other BIM software. Review project files for compliance with standards and protocols, while implementing best practice procedures for engineering analysis. Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines. Assist in the technical delivery of CAD/BIM projects and learn laser scanning for 3D model creation of buildings. Work remotely from home or at the Torreón office, typically for 48-56 hours per week, within the Virtual Design & Construction team focused on innovative global projects.
Required Qualifications
- A working knowledge of one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structure, Civil or Architecture
- A multi-disciplinary, developing, working knowledge and aptitude of the building industry
- Proficiency of BIM modeling in at least one of these Autodesk products: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Inventor, and/or Civil 3D
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail, organized and able to detect and resolve issues
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- Self-motivated, hardworking, collaborative, and able to take responsibility in a proactive approach to daily tasks
- Maintain a good attitude and flexibility within a dynamic work environment
- Candidates will need to work 48-56 hours per week
- Candidates will typically work remote from home or at our Torreón office
Desired Qualifications
- Desire to obtain the Certificate of Development in BIM, Part 1 certification (CD-BIM.com) and Autodesk Professional Revit Certifications
- Strong English proficiency is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 or higher. Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint
- Experience working in the commercial building industry is a plus
