Job Summary
Undertake straightforward structural design tasks, including modelling works and producing sketches for BIM communication. Implement main codes and standards while ensuring quality through verification of design submittals. Manage programme timelines, budget, and health & safety for projects, maintaining a positive attitude toward safety and sustainable resource management. Apply software applications like STAAD or MIDAS to design elements, validating results through alternative means when necessary. Demonstrate self-learning capabilities using in-house and web-based materials while working independently with strong influencing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Able to work on straightforward tasks under appropriate supervision
- Able to understand and implement the main codes and standards for the area of work
- Undertake simple design tasks, modelling works
- Able to produce sketches for communicating with BIM and lead region to convey the basic understanding of the design
- Ensure Quality through necessary verification, checking of design submittals
- Manage programme timelines, budget, and H&S for all the projects
- Positive attitude towards Health & Safety
- Show due regard for the environment and for the sustainable management of natural resources
- Have a thorough knowledge on at least one out of Software Application like STAAD, MIDAS, LUSAS, ROBOT
- Demonstrated ability to undertake self-learing using inhouse and web-based materials
- Bear confidence to work independently with good influencing/motivating skills
- Excellent Communication both written, verbal
- Strong Aptitude and problem solving technicques
- Fair Knowledge of design standards preferably international, application processes
- Design of elements using software and should be able to validate through alternative means, if necessary, by applying basic principles
- CADD application, Drawing tools knowledge
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Structural design (Bridge design experience preferable)
- sound knowldedge in fundamentals of structural engineering and structural behaviour
- Post-Graduation in Civil/Structure Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Scripting and Automation Tool Knowledge is an advantage. (Python or Grasshopper)
