Job Summary
Contribute to the delivery of building services projects from concept through completion, working within multidisciplinary teams under experienced engineer mentorship. Perform electrical engineering design, system load calculations, and plant sizing while utilizing BIM workflows and industry-standard software. Support technical coordination, prepare design reports, and assist with site inspections and commissioning monitoring. Develop skills in sustainable design, code compliance, and project delivery stages, gradually assuming increased responsibility as experience grows.
Required Qualifications
- An accredited Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Degree accreditation by a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, IET, or IMechE is preferred
- Relevant industry experience through internships, placements, work experience, or project-based activities would be advantageous
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM processes, or electrical design software would be beneficial but is not essential
- A strong interest in building services, sustainable design, and multidisciplinary project delivery
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with an interest in working toward professional registration (e.g., IEng or CEng) in the future
