Job Summary
Contribute to the delivery of building services projects from concept through completion by undertaking system load calculations, assisting with plant sizing, and supporting technical coordination. Prepare technical reports, evaluate design options, and attend project meetings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Gain hands-on experience in electrical design, BIM workflows, and site inspections under the guidance of experienced engineers. Develop skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and sustainable low-carbon design while navigating industry codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
- An accredited Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Degree accreditation by a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, IET, or IMechE is preferred
- Relevant industry experience through internships, placements, work experience, or project-based activities would be advantageous
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM processes, or electrical design software would be beneficial but is not essential
- A strong interest in building services, sustainable design, and multidisciplinary project delivery
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with an interest in working toward professional registration (e.g., IEng or CEng) in the future
