Job Summary
Contribute to the delivery of building services projects from concept through completion by undertaking system load calculations, assisting with plant sizing, and preparing technical reports. Support multidisciplinary design teams in developing electrical building services systems, including high- and low-voltage power distribution, fire alarms, and renewable energy solutions, while navigating industry codes and standards. Gain hands-on experience in BIM workflows, AutoCAD, and Revit under the mentorship of experienced engineers, progressing from foundational training to increased responsibility for project delivery and site inspections.
Required Qualifications
- An accredited Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Degree accreditation by a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, IET, or IMechE is preferred
- Relevant industry experience through internships, placements, work experience, or project-based activities would be advantageous
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM processes, or electrical design software would be beneficial but is not essential
- A strong interest in building services, sustainable design, and multidisciplinary project delivery
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with an interest in working toward professional registration (e.g., IEng or CEng) in the future
