Job Summary
The Graduate Assistant, Track & Field, is responsible for recruiting athletes, assisting in program organization, fundraising, and coordinating student-athlete support. Duties include managing equipment and facilities, conducting recruitment activities, and promoting an inclusive educational environment. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field, acceptance into the graduate program, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. This position requires a commitment to NCAA regulations and the ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, or related field preferred
- Acceptance into a Lake Erie College graduate program required
- Valid driver’s license and approval for driving through the Business Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects and initiatives
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences
- Knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications
- Strong organization skills with ability to attend to details
- Creative, strategic, thoughtful, and has a sense of humor
