Graduate Assistant, Softball

Job Summary
Recruit potential softball students, evaluate candidates, and organize recruitment efforts with the Office of Admissions. Manage program operations including facility, practice, and team logistics while assisting with coaching duties. Execute fundraising through camps and clinics, maintain equipment inventory, and support student-athlete study table coverage. Promote an inclusive education and act as a positive ambassador for the college to all constituents. Work evenings and weekends with a valid driver's license, adhering to NCAA Division II regulations and reporting any compliance violations.
Required Qualifications
- Acceptance into a Lake Erie College graduate program
- Valid driver's license
- Approval for driving through the Business Office
- Ability to travel for team practices, competition and recruiting
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Insurable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, sports management or related field
- Collegiate playing experience
- Knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity
- Strong organization skills with ability to attend to details
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects and initiatives
- Growth and 'doer' mindset and institutional teamwork ethic
- Creative, strategic, thoughtful, and has a sense of humor
