Job Summary
Design lesson plans and lead hands-on workshops on digital humanities tools like WordPress, Omeka, and GitHub. Mentor undergraduate researchers and hold open hours for consultations while supporting programming and events. Participate in training sessions to master digital methods and work in-person on campus with faculty and students. Schedule approximately 12 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters, with regular weekly planning after early September training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level program in the humanities, humanistic social sciences, library and information science, or a related field
- Must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for and experience in digital humanities research and/or teaching
- Graduate Assistants will be expected to work in-person on the Barnard campus (3009 Broadway)
- The part-time GA-ship will be approximately 12 hours per week during Fall and Spring semesters
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in one or more digital humanities research methods or tools is strongly preferred
- These may include (but are not limited to) data visualization, interactive storytelling, web design, building digital collections, or information architecture
