Job Summary
Graduate Assistant to support the Department of Computing Sciences and Mathematics with teaching, research, and administrative operations. Responsibilities include assisting faculty with course development and instructional materials, preparing and grading assignments, quizzes, and exams, supporting student learning and engagement; conducting literature reviews, data collection/analysis/visualization, and assisting with research dissemination through reports and presentations; maintaining course and program-related content and supporting outreach and student engagement activities. Some on-campus presence at the downtown Columbus campus may be required. Preference for experience with programming (Python/Java), data analysis tools (Excel/R/Python/SQL), and learning management systems (Canvas). The role involves up to 19 hours per week and is a part-time appointment with hybrid remote work in Columbus, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled full-time in a graduate program within the College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with programming (e.g., Python, Java, or similar languages)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, or SQL)
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
- Interest in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, or applied computing
- Prior academic, research, or professional experience related to computing or teaching
