Job Summary
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students during open lab hours using tools like R, Python, and GIS. Design and teach workshops supporting ERC curricular initiatives while contributing to events from planning through assessment. Maintain documentation and assist in developing instructional resources for applied quantitative and spatial learning. Present instructional innovations at academic or professional conferences to share expertise. Report to the Senior Associate Director of the Empirical Reasoning Center. Commitment is 7-10 hours per week at $33.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently be a student in a Graduate Program
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of at least one core technology at the ERC (R, Stata, ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Understanding of inclusive pedagogy and accessibility in instruction
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience planning events/workshops
- Experience with teaching undergraduates
- Experience with course preparation and management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in statistical modeling
- Excellent quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented
