Job Summary
Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach assists with day-to-day management of the Baseball team, which requires some night and weekend work. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and coaching team members; emphasizing infield play, base running, and hitting; recruiting, retaining, and graduating student-athletes; fundraising for program advancement; overseeing students’ academic progress toward degree completion; assisting with administrative duties; ensuring NAIA compliance and the Champions of Character values; providing leadership for campus involvement and community service; and delivering Christ-centered leadership and direction for the Baseball program. Preferred experience includes knowledge of NAIA rules, effective communication and motivational skills, and serving as a positive role model for student-athletes, university personnel, and the broader community.
Required Qualifications
- Background in hitting, base running with emphasis on infield play
- Recruit, train and coach members of the Baseball program
- Oversee academic progress toward degree completion
- Fundraising for program advancement
- Adherence to NAIA rules and Champions of Character values
- Provide Christ-centered leadership and direction for the Baseball program
- Ability to work some nights and weekends
- Knowledge of collegiate sports and NAIA rules (preferred)
- Effective communication and motivational skills
- Leadership and collaboration across university departments
