Job Summary
Assist the head coach in monitoring strength and conditioning programs and plan and implement on and off-court coaching, including practices, individual and team coaching, and other assigned duties. Lead recruiting and mentoring efforts by evaluating prospects, managing databases, handling correspondence, and conducting phone calls to identify potential student-athletes. Provide academic support through study hall monitoring, individual meetings, and class checking while scouting opponents and planning team travel within budgetary constraints. Organize fundraising events and special functions to support the athletic department's development program. Pass the NCAA recruiting certification test and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be accepted into a graduate program or certificate
- Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes and potential recruits and their families
- Excellent communication, written and oral skills
- Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division II guidelines and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and video editing
- Proven leadership ability
