Job Summary

Manage administrative support for all Faculty of Health Disciplines Graduate Programs by assisting with system and process development, supporting academics and professionals, and serving current students, university staff, external organizations, and regulatory bodies. Provide excellent, respectful, and confidential student services while handling mass and individual correspondence using established templates. This temporary one-year position ends August 2027 and may serve as a secondment for permanent staff. The role requires post-secondary education in office administration, two years of post-secondary experience, and proficiency in BANNER, Microsoft Office, Moodle, and Adobe.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in office administration
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a post-secondary educational institution
  • Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and administrative experience
  • Baccalaureate preparation
  • Considerable experience in the AU environment
  • Knowledge of AU departments (such as Registry, Learning Services Finance, Media, Course Materials), programs, policies, and procedures as they apply to the FHD programs
  • A working knowledge of the University's computer systems and software including BANNER, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Moodle, Adobe, Internet, and electronic mail
  • Willingness and ability to learn to use additional software packages as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role
