Job Summary
Conduct daily accounting operations by assisting the Chief Accountant with transaction accuracy in the ledger, month-end close activities, and statutory fiscal declarations. Prepare local tax returns including VAT and withholding tax, while reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring offshore team transactions. Support the preparation of semi-annual and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Romanian and US GAAP, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Liaise with internal accounting companies, external consultants, and auditors to deliver ad-hoc reporting and support the year-end audit process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and Economics
- Up to 2 years of experience on independent position in a Finance/Accounting department focusing on Romanian statutory reporting
- Computer proficient
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English
- Strong attention to detail
