Job Summary
Grading Support Field Technician provides technical support for the Lucidyne lumber grading system, including troubleshooting software and system issues, installing/updating software, and training customers onsite and remotely. The role collaborates with customers, engineering teams, and sales staff to enhance system performance, documents issues and prepares logs with ServiceNow, Asana, Teams, and Slack, and participates in R&D testing and process improvements. Onsite at Corvallis, OR with hybrid work options; requires travel up to 33% domestically and internationally. Strong communication skills, customer service experience, and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in computer science preferred
- Minimum of two years of related experience required
- Experience in lumber grading highly desired
- High degree of problem solving skills and ability to analyze and diagnose problems independently
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a lumber mill environment and travel up to 33% domestically and internationally
