Job Summary
Grading/Pipe Foreman in Missoula, MT to lead field crews on civil construction projects. Responsibilities include managing daily field crews, coordinating schedules, equipment, and materials, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on site. Communicate with project managers and inspectors. Require experience in heavy civil construction with equipment operation (excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes), prior foreman/crew lead experience on utility or grading projects, ability to read blueprints, set grade with lasers/levels, and estimate material/equipment needs. Strong leadership, communication, and safety-focused supervision skills; CDL preferred (or willing to obtain) and capable of light equipment repairs and field adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in heavy civil construction with strong equipment operation skills (excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes)
- Experience as a foreman or crew lead on utility or grading projects, with a solid track record of managing production and crew performance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, set grade using lasers/levels, and estimate material, tool, and equipment needs
- Strong leadership, communication, and safety-focused supervision skills in fast-paced field environments
- CDL preferred (or willing to obtain) and capable of performing light repairs and field adjustments to equipment as needed
