Grades 7–12 English Teacher

Deliver engaging, rigorous instruction in English Language Arts for students in Grades 7–12 by implementing the Core Knowledge Sequence, Great Books program, and International Baccalaureate coursework where applicable. Teach up to five classes per day while developing lesson plans that promote critical thinking, literary analysis, and effective written communication. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, provide timely feedback, and prepare report cards and progress reports. Administer school and state assessments as directed by the English Department Chair and maintain a structured classroom environment aligned with the school's discipline model. Collaborate with colleagues through weekly meetings focused on curriculum planning and instructional best practices, while communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development initiatives. Full-time, annual appointment with yearly performance evaluations in Malden, Massachusetts.
