Job Summary
Cut grade, finish clean, and maintain production on heavy civil construction projects using CAT, John Deere, or similar graders. Perform fine grading, road building, and final trim work while reading plans, stakes, and elevations with GPS and machine control systems. Complete daily machine inspections and basic maintenance, ensuring safety and strong job site awareness in all weather conditions. Adapt and problem-solve as conditions change while communicating clearly with the crew. Work a 12-on/2-off schedule from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Join a team at WCL focused on precision earthworks.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years experience operating a grader in heavy civil construction
- Strong skills in fine grading, road building, and final trim work
- Experience with CAT, John Deere, or similar graders
- Able to complete daily machine inspections and basic maintenance
- Excellent grade control and ability to read plans, stakes, and elevations
- Experience with GPS and machine control systems
- Safety-focused with strong job site awareness
- Willing to work long hours in all weather conditions
- Team player with clear on-site communication
- Able to adapt and problem-solve when conditions change
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain)
