Job Summary
Inspect used tires for damage, tread depth, and overall condition. Sort tires by size, type, quality, and designated processing category. Identify and remove debris or tires that do not meet processing standards. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving tires throughout the facility while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies, wear required PPE including steel-toe boots and safety glasses, and perform additional duties as assigned by management. This role supports recycling, processing, resale, and disposal operations within an indoor and outdoor environment involving varying weather, dust, and industrial noise.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions as needed
- Steel-toe boots
- Long pants
- Shirts with sleeves
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Hearing protection
- Hair tied back if longer than shoulder length
- No open-toed shoes, Crocs, sandals, slides, or canvas shoes
- Jewelry kept to a minimum
