GRADE K-5 TEACHER

Plan, organize, and present instruction for K-5 students, ensuring materials are ready at the start of each lesson and maintaining high student time-on-task. Manage classroom behavior by enforcing established rules for participation and movement, promptly stopping inappropriate conduct while preserving student dignity. Deliver lessons by reviewing prior materials, introducing objectives, and using clear examples and demonstrations to illustrate concepts and skills. Monitor student performance by circulating during work, checking progress through oral and written products, and providing prompt feedback on both in-class and assigned tasks. Align instructional plans with system curricular goals, use diagnostic information to revise objectives, and maintain accurate records of student performance. Interact effectively with students, co-workers, parents, and the community while treating all individuals fairly and equitably.
