Job Summary
Conduct rough and precise grading by understanding plans, setting hubs and stakes, and calculating volumes and production rates. Operate sloping lasers and GPS equipment to shoot building elevations while directing excavating activities to conform to stake references. Communicate effectively with equipment operators, supervision, and management to achieve project schedules within OSHA and DNT safety policies. Work Monday through Saturday with potential overtime, performing tasks in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools
- Training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications
- Ability to observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities
- Ability to communicate with equipment operators, supervision and management
- Must be able to work outside in all weather for extended periods of time
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Must be available Monday through Saturday
- Must be able to work overtime
