Job Summary
Athletic Coach for Grade 7 Boys at Rock Hill Schools to plan and implement practice sessions, instruct players in basketball rules and techniques, evaluate performance, foster a positive team culture emphasizing discipline and respect, ensure health and safety, coordinate with staff, communicate with athletes, parents, and administration, attend practices and games, and maintain equipment; must have leadership and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel as needed; background checks and TB testing are required prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven coaching experience in basketball or sport
- Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and strategies
- Excellent leadership, motivational, and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Satisfactory background report
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License or ability to provide own transportation
- May be required to travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
- Prior to beginning employment, negative tb test results must be provided
- Experience coaching at high school/collegiate/professional level (preferred)
- Relevant coaching certification (e.g., NFHS, USA Coaching) (preferred)

- Criminal history background check required
- TB test results required prior to onboarding
