Grade 2

The Elementary Teacher designs and implements instruction for Grade 2 in accordance with state standards and district curriculum, creates a positive classroom climate, delivers relevant, rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement, employs diverse teaching practices to meet students’ needs, assesses and monitors student progress and maintains grades and attendance, manages behavior with effective classroom strategies, communicates student progress with parents and school personnel, ensures health and safety, maintains confidential records, and keeps required certifications and professional development hours. The role emphasizes collaboration, differentiation, and ongoing planning and organization as part of district expectations.
