Job Summary
Grade 2 classroom teacher needed to join Forsyth School's collaborative, student-centered team. Responsibilities include nurturing the social, emotional, academic, and developmental needs of a class of twelve Grade 2 students; developing and implementing culturally responsive teaching practices; active participation in curriculum development and review; fostering collaboration, transparency, and trust within the school community; providing an inclusive, positive, and active contribution to the school; and reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Academics and Lower Division Director. Core competencies require a love of elementary children, commitment to teaching and learning in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, openness to feedback and professional growth, adaptability, and strong interpersonal and writing skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a focus on educational excellence and responsiveness to the school’s mission and strategic plan.
