Grade 1

The Elementary Teacher designs and delivers instruction for Grade 1 in accordance with state standards and district curriculum, creates a positive learning climate, delivers relevant and rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement, utilizes diverse instructional practices to meet individual student needs, observes and assesses student mastery of standards and maintains grades and attendance, manages classroom behavior with effective strategies, communicates student progress with parents and district personnel, ensures health and safety of students and protects materials, maintains confidential records and required certifications, and performs other duties as assigned. The role emphasizes professional knowledge, ongoing development, and alignment with district expectations and equity in education.
