Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern responsibilities include applying didactic knowledge to real-world pharmacy practice, supporting medication dispensing and patient care, completing a 120-day training roadmap under a preceptor, and developing skills toward a Pharmacist role. You will assist with prescription processing, patient interactions, immunizations where allowed, inventory activities, and adherence to SOPs, while learning to handle immunization certification, counseling, and regulatory compliance under supervision. As you gain tenure, you may support pharmacy leadership, participate in patient safety initiatives, and travel within the market to meet business needs. Preferred candidates have related experience in pharmacy or customer service and the ability to become immunization certified; strong communication, mathematical reasoning, and teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
