Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern role at CVS Health: apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice, participate in a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap with preceptor and district leadership, contribute to pharmacist and technician teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient care, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Responsibilities include assisting in pharmacy workflow (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), counseling patients when appropriate, supporting immunizations and immunization training where allowed, maintaining SOP adherence, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge through hands-on practice and mentoring. Preferred growth trajectory includes taking on greater accountability over time, travel within the market as needed, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Essential functions emphasize attendance, accuracy, customer service, communication, math reasoning, problem resolution, physical ability to perform duties, and adaptability. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of related experience and immunization certification potential.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
