Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health participates in a 120-day training roadmap to support pharmacy teams, assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, contribute to patient experiences through empathetic service, and develop readiness for a pharmacist role. Responsibilities include applying didactic learning to real-world practice, ensuring patient safety and quality assurance (e.g., DUR), following SOPs across pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), counseling and responding to medical questions where appropriate under licensed pharmacist supervision, and contributing to inventory activities. The role may involve immunizations (where certified), education of patients about vaccines, and collaborating with leaders to expand clinical and technical knowledge. Demonstrates teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability to flex scheduling and market needs. Requirements include completion of a PharmD from a U.S. accredited program and obtaining licensure within state timelines; preferred candidates have immunization certification and willingness to travel to stores as needed.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
