Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health participating in a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap designed to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice, support the pharmacy team across multiple workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), and help ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment while delivering compassionate service. You will learn to follow SOPs, contribute to patient safety and quality assurance (including drug utilization review and red flag detection), and progressively assume greater responsibility in oversight and operations. The role includes counseling patients when appropriate, offering immunizations and other services (where allowed by state regulations), fielding medical questions, taking telephonic prescriptions under supervision, and collaborating with leaders to foster a safe, inclusive, customer-focused pharmacy atmosphere. Flexible scheduling and willingness to travel to stores in the market to support business needs are expected, with adherence to all applicable laws and CVS policies.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
