Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health responsible for supporting pharmacy teams in retail locations. You will apply your pharmacy education to real-world practice, follow SOPs, assist with prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations where permitted, and participate in training and development toward readiness for a Pharmacist role. The role includes learning through a structured 120-day training roadmap, contributing to patient safety, DUR, and quality assurance, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge while providing empathetic, high-quality service to patients. Regular duties include engaging with patients, handling prescriptions, immunization support where allowed, inventory activities, and collaborating with pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing. The position emphasizes learning, growth, and readiness for increased responsibility within the pharmacy team, with potential travel to stores in the market as needed.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
Desired Qualifications
