Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school in real-world practice and follow a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You’ll assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, learn to apply SOPs, support patient experiences with empathy and care, counsel patients when appropriate, and participate in immunization services and other pharmacy-related duties. The role involves learning about patient safety, drug utilization review, red flag detection, and collaboration with district leadership, with opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge, travel to stores as needed, and develop leadership skills under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
