Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health provides hands-on training within retail pharmacy to support pharmacy teams, learn SOPs, and develop toward a Pharmacist role. The role includes completing a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap, assisting with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, immunizations, patient counseling, and participating in quality assurance, drug utilization review, and adhering to company standards. Requires PharmD completion or imminent licensure, intern/technician licensure as required, and willingness to travel within markets as needed, with part-time hours and opportunities for expanded responsibilities over time.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Communication Skills: verbal and written communication
- Customer Service and Team Orientation
- Ability to use math to solve problems (dispensing calculations, days supply)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Preferred)
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years related work experience in pharmacy/retail/customer service
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Flexibility to travel across markets to meet business needs
