Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health participates in a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will support pharmacy teams in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assist with immunizations and patient counseling, learn SOPs and quality assurance practices, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Responsibilities include applying didactic learning to real-world practice, contributing to patient safety and compassionate care, handling telephonic prescriptions where allowed, supporting inventory and workflow at multiple pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), and pursuing required licensure and immunization certification with supervision from a licensed pharmacist. The role emphasizes empathy, effective communication, teamwork, and growth within a dynamic retail pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
