Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health in a retail setting, applying didactic learning to real-world practice while completing a 120-day training roadmap to prepare for pharmacist responsibilities. Participate in pharmacy operations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and telephonic interactions; assist with dispensing prescriptions, patient counseling as appropriate under supervision; learn SOPs, patient safety, drug utilization review (DUR), and professional standards; support immunization services where permissible, with potential for immunizer licensure; travel within market stores as needed; develop clinical and technical knowledge, contribute to a high-performing team, and grow into a pharmacist role through hands-on experience and guidance from preceptors and district leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacist Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a U.S. accredited program
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe (per state guidelines)
- Intern and/or technician licensure as required by state
