Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams within Retail locations. You will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice, complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap, assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, participate in immunization services where permissible, counsel patients under supervision, and help maintain SOPs, patient safety, and quality assurance. As readiness increases, you’ll contribute to management and operations within the pharmacy, travel to stores in the market as needed, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver empathetic, high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, compliance with regulations, and developing clinical and technical knowledge to prepare for a Pharmacist role.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Essential Functions: Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends (as part of the role)
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
