Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health role, embedded in retail pharmacy teams, with a 120-day training roadmap designed to prepare for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include supporting pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment; applying SOPs and standard practices; delivering empathetic, patient-centered service across in-person, drive-thru, and over-the-phone interactions; counseling patients when appropriate; assisting with immunizations and other services where allowed; coordinating with preceptors and district leaders to develop knowledge of store, district, and regional operations; maintaining patient safety standards, DUR, and ethical practice; contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and readiness to take on greater accountability over time; travel to stores in the market as needed to support business needs; compliance with federal/state/local laws and CVS policies; ongoing learning to expand clinical and technical knowledge and to support immunization certification as regulations permit.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
- ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within state guidelines
- valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
