Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health role focusing on applying didactic learning to real-world practice, supporting pharmacy teams in fulfilling prescriptions safely and accurately, and completing a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap. Responsibilities include following SOPs, learning pharmacy workflow at multiple workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), delivering compassionate customer service, offering immunizations where permitted, counseling patients when appropriate under supervision, handling telephonic prescriptions with prescriber clarification when allowed, assisting with inventory, and traveling to stores as needed to meet business needs. Emphasis on patient safety, quality assurance, drug utilization review, safety protocols, and contributing to a safe, inclusive culture. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of related experience and immunization certification readiness; ability to work across stores and utilize Microsoft Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
