Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern role supporting CVS Health pharmacy teams in IL stores. You’ll apply didactic learning to real-world practice, complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap, and work under a preceptor to deepen patient safety, DUR, and pharmacy standards. Responsibilities include assisting with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across production, drive-thru, and curbside workflows; counseling patients and answering medical questions under supervision; offering immunizations where allowed and pursuing licensure/technician immunizer status; handling telephonic prescriptions, inventory activities, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks; and contributing to a high-performing, empathetic customer-service team while expanding clinical and technical knowledge. Requires PharmD from a U.S. accredited program and ability to obtain state pharmacist licensure within the specified timeframe; incumbents must maintain intern/technician licensure as required. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years in pharmacy/retail/customer service and immunization certification eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
