Job Summary
Provide comprehensive career advising and programming alongside academic advising, learning support, and campus/community referrals to Grace Scholars (third- and fourth-year students) in the Grace Scholars Program. Responsibilities include conducting individual and small-group sessions to monitor educational and career development goals, developing individualized personal/professional development plans, maintaining records, building partnerships with internal/external stakeholders, teaching two .5 credit Grace Scholars Seminars each fall/spring, developing programs to support underrepresented students, coordinating the Summer Bridge Program, assisting with program assessment and annual grant reports, and participating in staff activities. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and experience with diverse populations; bilingual skills are highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, or related field preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in the area of higher education, counseling psychology, social work, or related field required
- Experience working with diverse populations, including limited-income, first generation students and families in Milwaukee
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to drive and possession of own vehicle is a plus
