Job Summary
Develop and maintain nutrient management plans for customers while covering Northeast Wisconsin, ensuring compliance with NRCS Code 590 and other regulatory agencies. Operate and coordinate GPS sampling and data collection activities, generate maps and files per client requests, and maintain detailed records of field data. Manage supplies and perform maintenance and repairs on all GPS field unit equipment while adhering to strict safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions immediately. Build positive relationships with dealers, extension personnel, and agribusiness agents to support service territory growth.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently
- Self-motivation
- Strong time management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite Office products, including but not limited to Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated ability to transfer electronic records between devices and applications
- Ability to assess data and make technically sound correlations regarding animal health and herd performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, farm management and farm labor in English
- An entrepreneurial spirit to grow AgSource services and attract new member herds in the service territory
- Have or work to obtain CCA certification
