GPS Blade Motorgrader-Finish

Job Summary
Operate GPS-equipped blade/motorgrader and perform finishing, grading, sloping, backfilling, ditching, loading and excavating using heavy equipment. Conduct daily maintenance and safety checks, lubricating, fueling and cleaning as needed. Move equipment to loading/unloading positions with guidance from loading crew; monitor surroundings when operating on public roadways. Troubleshoot and resolve operation/repair issues, discuss production problems with coworkers and supervisors, and ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and DNR safety and environmental regulations. Demonstrate a safety-first attitude, work overtime as required, and meet pre-employment drug screening and background/MVR checks. All applications are submitted online; on-site work in Dallas, TX. Additional responsibilities include performing related construction duties and maintaining equipment for smooth operation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with GPS Blade Equipment
- Experience with equipment maintenance & operation
- Experience with heavy road construction work
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Must meet Knife River-South employment standards with regards to background/MVR checks
- Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime)
- Ability to work outside in all seasons
- Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
