Job Summary
Perform specialized tasks including bleaching, nightguard fabrication, crown deliveries, suture removals, and temporary restoration production. Maintain patient function by cleaning removable appliances, producing study casts, and ensuring radiographs are current and utilized for diagnosis. Document treatment plans, consent forms, and periodontal charting while providing shadowing and guidance to new assistants. Uphold sterilization standards, adhere to OSHA guidelines, and contribute to a professional team atmosphere. Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Texas state certification required
- 3-5 years of experience in a dental assisting role
- Proficiency in advanced chairside procedures, tools and diagnostics
- Extensive experience and knowledge in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensuring their accuracy and clarity
- Thorough understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, and other dental staff members
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Friday 8-5pm and Saturday 9 -3pm)
- Part-time schedule commitment (~15 Hours/Week)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with orthodontics, invisalign, and assisting with dental implant surgeries is a plus
