Job Summary
Review and research public policy, regulatory, and legislative issues impacting Canadian Natural's operations. Help identify and evaluate advocacy and engagement opportunities aligned with the government relations strategy. Work with the internal regulatory team to highlight policy initiatives, develop materials for advocacy, and maintain Government Relations files. Research and prepare memos, briefing notes, and presentations while supporting team vacation coverage. This four-month work term begins May 2027 in Calgary, AB, offering students enrolled in Public Policy or Political Science programs a chance to contribute to regulatory engagement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program with a specific focus on Public Policy, Political Science or related disciplines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interest in public policy and understanding of current events
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Professional judgment with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
