Job Summary
This is a highly independent position with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County that supports the Emergency Operations Program. Responsibilities include facilitating the department's response to natural and human events (including special needs shelter activities, dispensing of medical countermeasures and vaccines, volunteer management, outreach and other events), developing and implementing the Local Distribution Site plan and training program, maintaining warehouse inventory and equipment, supporting purchasing for the Training and Preparedness Program, preparing reports, and assisting with demonstrations, exercises, drills, and emergency deployments as needed. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and related systems; ability to operate in a warehouse environment with large vehicles/trailers; and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential travel. Also includes requirement to complete background checks and compliance processes; must be able to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
