Job Summary
Government Inside Sales Representative to join McKesson in Richmond, VA. You will support state, local, and federal government accounts, driving new account development and expanding business within existing customers across Extended Care and Primary Care settings. Responsibilities include prospect conversion via phone, email, social platforms, and other outreach methods; identify opportunities across government departments; prepare quotes and negotiate sales transactions; navigate government procurement processes and customer technology platforms (Orbits, Scan Manager, EDI); maintain product knowledge and support customers with tools and system connectivity; grow sales within existing government accounts and increase wallet share; provide clinical product support and education. Structured onboarding with in-office training, followed by a home-based ramp and ongoing development, and a hybrid schedule with in-office Wednesdays. Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel) and CRM systems (Salesforce.com) and a background in healthcare or distribution sales are preferred. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
