Job Summary
Onsite 1 day per week at Springfield, VA with remote telework 4 days per week for a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) role supporting medical review of employee self-certifying electronic questionnaires. Responsibilities include contacting employees to obtain necessary information, determining next steps of assessment using medical guidelines, reviewing paperwork to support decisions, documenting in medical records, and providing customer services within guidelines. The RN will also support Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) cases, may conduct records-based fitness for duty evaluations (FFD) and FMLA reviews, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires independent work, strong communication, mastery of occupational health principles, case management experience, handling of protected health information with confidentiality, and the ability to pass background checks. Qualifications include Virginia RN licensure (unencumbered), BSN/MSN, US citizenship, and preferred 2 years in Occupational Health.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Virginia
- A valid current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia, BSN or MSN qualified
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Occupational Health preferred
- Must not have been convicted of certain crimes or have professional licensure restrictions as described
- Must be able to obtain a minimum National Agency Check with FBI fingerprint check
- Able to pass a preliminary background check
- Able to gain required access to facilities/information systems
