Job Summary
Lead government contracting accounting practice as an Accounting Manager for federal clients; oversee full-cycle accounting, prepare invoices for FFP, T&M, and CPFF, review indirect cost rate calculations, and ensure compliance with FAR/CAS. Provide strategic advisory to optimize financial performance, stay updated on government regulations, mentor junior accountants, and develop forward pricing budgets to support contract compliance. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 5+ years in government contracting, with demonstrated leadership and client-relationship management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of government contracting experience
- FAR and CAS knowledge
- Experience with government contract accounting software (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet)
- Experience leading a team and client relationships
- Strong analytical and communication skills
