Job Summary
Lead government contracting accounting initiatives for a Top 50 accounting and advisory firm. Oversee full-cycle accounting operations for government contractors, ensure compliance with FAR/DCAA/CAS, review cost allowability and allocability, prepare invoices for various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF), develop annual forward pricing budgets, mentor junior accountants, and deliver strategic financial insights to optimize performance while maintaining high-quality deliverables and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in government contracting
- In-depth knowledge of FAR and CAS
- Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet)
- Experience leading a team and managing client relationships
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
