Job Summary
Lead government contracting clients' accounting operations, oversee staff responsible for transaction entry, financial cleanup, and invoicing for diverse contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF); review financial statements and indirect cost rate calculations; advise on cost allowability and allocability; provide strategic financial insights to optimize performance and ensure compliance with FAR, DCAA, and CAS; stay updated on government contracting regulations and accounting standards; mentor junior accountants to build a high-performing team; develop annual forward pricing budgets to support government contract compliance and financial planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of government contracting experience
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience with Incurred Cost Submissions
- Experience with government contract accounting software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet)
- Experience leading a team and managing client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
